Teledentistry – Teledentistry Providers

Summary

Partner Service Agreement soliciting the statewide teledentistry provider that supplies licensed dental expertise for Maine's Teledentistry grant track -- the vendor/provider side of the already-tracked "Teledentistry: Schools, Primary Care-based Oral Health Providers and Dental Practices" grant.

Eligibility

Respondents must be authorized to conduct business and in good standing with the Maine Secretary of State, maintain a FEIN and UEI, be able to demonstrate enrollment in MaineCare, provide a secure, HIPAA-compliant teledentistry platform, and employ relevant credentialed clinicians licensed to practice in Maine. Applicants must maintain billing processes that maximize reimbursement from all available third-party payers, including MaineCare, and provide sliding scale or other mechanisms for uninsured or underinsured youth. Service delivery must cover statewide operational capacity, including rural zip codes, and be able to provide services within 5 days of approval. Applicants must comply with all applicable telehealth, privacy, security, payer-of-last-resort, and state and federal requirements including MaineCare Section 90. Preference may be given to applicants with specialized skills and experience in providing behavioral health care to youth.
