This notice covers the points in the Applicant Portal where your application content leaves Rural Care Journey’s own systems, or where a curated RCJ vendor may reach out to you directly. Each applies once you take the corresponding action below for a given application; you won’t be asked again for that same application unless you withdraw your consent.
At the start of an application, you can opt in to let RCJ’s curated, vetted vendors reach out to you directly about that specific application — for example, an implementation or technical-assistance partner who may be able to help you move it forward. This is separate from AI-assisted vendor matching below: matching never shares your narrative or contact information with a vendor. Opting in here does. This choice is entirely optional, applies only to the application you’re working on, and you can withdraw it at any time on the Eligibility step.
When you run vendor matching on the Package step, the project narrative you’ve written (your implementation description and related package sections) is sent to our AI provider (Azure OpenAI) to generate a text embedding used to score candidate vendors. The matched vendor names, websites, and match scores are shown back to you. Your narrative is not sent to the vendors themselves through this matching step — only if you separately choose to request a quote from a specific vendor elsewhere on the platform, or opt in to curated-vendor contact above, does a vendor receive anything about you.
When you request a review on the Review step, your survey answers, completion and readiness scores, and application package content are shared with our review team or contracted specialists so they can assess funder fit, eligibility risk, narrative strength, budget logic, and compliance, and send you feedback.
We don’t sell your application data or use it for anything beyond generating vendor matches and expert review feedback for you. Our Privacy Policy governs how we handle your account information generally and is incorporated into this notice by reference.
Curated-vendor contact, vendor matching, and review requests are all optional in the Applicant Portal — you can complete and submit your application without using any of them. Curated-vendor contact can be turned on or off directly on the Eligibility step at any time. If you change your mind after requesting a review or running vendor matching, email apply@amemobile.net and reference your application.
